SHOCKING ! Delhi Blast Accused Umar Nabi Seen Justifying Suicide Bombing in Pre-Attack Video; Probe Flags “Textbook Indoctrination”

A shocking video of Dr. Mohammad Umar Nabi - the key accused who drove the explosive-laden i20 that blew up outside the Red Fort on November 10 - has been recovered from the mobile phone of one of the arrested suspects. The blast killed 13 people and injured more than 30. Investigators say this newly surfaced footage offers the clearest window yet into the radicalisation process behind the “white-collar terror module” now under police scrutiny.

The video, believed to have been recorded before the attack, shows Umar Nabi alive and delivering a rambling ideological monologue defending suicide bombings. The exact date and location of the recording are still being verified. In the clip, Umar Nabi is heard arguing that suicide attacks should be viewed as “martyrdom,” a claim he attempts to justify using distorted interpretations. “One of the very misunderstood concept is - concept of (inaudible) suicide bombing. It is martyrdom of prisoners,” he says. At another point, he adds, “When a person presumes that he is going for sure to die at a particular place, at a particular time… he goes against the presumption that he is gonna die in particular situation...”

Officials familiar with the investigation say the incoherent reasoning mirrors doctrinal manipulation commonly used by global terror outfits to indoctrinate recruits. “This is not a spontaneous speech. This is classic pre-attack conditioning - rehearsed lines, internalised arguments, and justification of violent extremism,” a senior officer said.

Umar Nabi, along with several associates including Muzammil - recently arrested - is believed to have been part of a radical network that blended medical and academic credentials with covert operational planning. Police have recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from locations linked to the group in Faridabad.

Investigators are also examining the role of Al-Falah University, where Umar studied and was reportedly active in campus circles. The university is being probed as a possible node of radicalisation. Another doctor from the same institution - Dr Shaheen Saeed, a woman who has already been arrested - allegedly handled the women’s wing of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), focusing on recruitment and ideological training.

Sources say the Umar video is significant because it captures an attacker speaking in his own voice before the operation - rare evidence in India’s terror investigations. “This video is not just a confession of belief. It’s a training sample. It shows the psychological pathway of someone preparing for a suicide mission,” an intelligence officer said.

As agencies piece together timelines and digital trails, the clip is expected to play a central role in establishing the level of indoctrination, external influence, and active planning behind the November 10 blast. Authorities say more arrests are likely as they track the module’s network across states.
