NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule met the family members of the female doctor from Satara who died by suicide, and demanded that no one be given a clean chit and that a transparent investigation be conducted.
Speaking to the media after meeting the family, Sule said, “There should be no political pressure in this case. We do not want to politicise the issue. I request the Chief Minister not to give a clean chit to anyone before the inquiry is completed.”
She added, “The Central Government’s data says everything. Even in my constituency, there are gangs. You are in power, so you can do whatever you want, and those in the Opposition are booked in false cases.” Further, Sule stated, “The Government must bring the truth before the people of Maharashtra. An SIT should be formed to conduct a fair investigation.”
“This Government faces a new controversy every day, despite having such a large mandate. Farmers are dying, teachers are dying by suicide, we don’t know what is happening in the state,” Sule said. She also demanded an all-party meeting to discuss the economic and financial condition of Maharashtra, similar to the one held after ‘Operation Sindoor’. “I have told the Chief Minister this several times, and I am saying it again,” she added.
Supriya Sule also posted on X (formerly Twitter) that she met the family of the deceased doctor in Phaltan, expressed condolences, and assured them that the fight for justice would continue. She criticised the alleged insensitive statements made by ruling party leaders and questioned how the CDR of the deceased doctor’s phone was leaked. She further raised concerns of a possible cover-up and reiterated the demand for an SIT probe to ensure transparency. “We stand firmly with the Munde family. Anyone trying to shield those responsible for the injustice against Maharashtra’s daughter will not be spared,” she wrote.
