Mumbai Police has heightened security in the Dongri area following a social media warning about possible communal riots and bomb blasts during Eid. The post alleged that illegal Rohingya, Bangladeshi, and Pakistani infiltrators could be involved in such activities. Senior police officials have launched an investigation into the claims.

According to Mumbai Police sources, the warning post was made on social media platform X at 11:11 AM on Thursday. An anonymous user operating under the account The Shashwat Shukla Truth Speak tagged Navi Mumbai Police, stating, "Mumbai Police should remain alert. On March 31 - April 1, 2025, during Eid, some illegal Rohingya/Bangladeshi/Pakistani infiltrators residing in areas like Dongri could incite Hindu-Muslim riots, arson, and bomb blasts!"

Upon noticing the post, Navi Mumbai Police immediately alerted the Mumbai Police Control Room. In response, Mumbai Police intensified patrolling in the Dongri area to ensure security. Sources confirmed that a search operation was conducted in the locality, but no suspicious activities were found. Meanwhile, the Cyber Cell has launched an investigation to trace the individual responsible for posting the threat.

Mumbai Police has assured citizens that strict measures have been implemented to prevent any untoward incidents and maintain law and order in the city. Investigations into the matter are ongoing. Notably, a day before, a similar threat was posted from the same X account regarding riots and bomb blasts in Delhi's Jahangirpuri, tagging Delhi Police and the Chief Minister of Delhi.

The case has been registered at Dongri Police Station, and the Crime Branch is doing the investigation and a team has been formed to find the accused.
