The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against stand-up comedian Samay Raina, Balraj Ghai, Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and 31 others for allegedly using vulgar language in the show 'India's Got Latent'.

The complaint was filed by Sanmati Anilkumar Pandey with the Maharashtra Cyber Cell. Following the registration of the FIR, the cyber department issued summons to all individuals named in the FIR.

Sources indicate that the FIR was lodged after a thorough review of the show's published segments. The charges have been filed under Section 67 of the Information Technology Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Also, the Mumbai Police have established a Special Inquiry Team (SET) comprising three officers, each assigned specific tasks to advance the investigation.

According to police sources, a team visited 'The Habitat' venue to gather details about the controversial episode and secured CCTV footage. It was noted that during the filming of 'India's Got Latent', a black curtain was used, preventing the entire show from being captured on CCTV.

Additionally, external individuals were brought in for the shoot, and upon conclusion, they departed with the cameras and recorded content.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities examining the collected evidence to determine the appropriate legal actions against the accused individuals.
