The Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday conducted raids at the residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s secretary, along with the premises of other AAP leaders in connection with the alleged irregularities in the Delhi Jal Board case. The raids come on the day that Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi had said that she would be doing an “explosive expose” on the Enforcement Directorate.

The Enforcement Directorate carried out raids at the homes of several AAP leaders including Rajya Sabha MP ND Gupta, Kejriwal's secretary Bibhav Kumar, and former Delhi Jal Board member Shalabh Kumar.

“Yesterday, I had said that I would be doing an 'explosive exposé' on ED at 10 am today. To stop this exposé and scare the AAP, ED has been conducting raids since 7 am against AAP leaders and workers. Raids are underway at the residences of our leader ND Gupta and the PA of CM Arvind Kejriwal. There are reports that the ED will conduct raids throughout the day against AAP leaders. The BJP-led central government is trying to scare the AAP using the probe agencies,” said AAP leader Atishi reacting to the ED’s raids across multiple locations.

Last month, the Enforcement Directorate apprehended the ex-chief engineer of the Jal Board and a businessman under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in connection with the case. The Delhi Jal Board's former chief engineer, Jagdish Kumar Arora, is accused of unlawfully awarding a ₹38 crore contract to NKG Infrastructure Ltd. despite their failure to meet technical criteria. Investigations by the Enforcement Directorate state that NKG Infrastructure secured the bid using false documents and later subcontracted the work to Integral Screws Ltd., owned by Anil Kumar Aggarwal. Aggarwal allegedly transferred about ₹3 crore in bribes to Arora through various means, including cash and bank transactions, utilizing bank accounts of Arora's associates and relatives.
