Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve has alleged that after revelations about his son Parth Pawar’s involvement in a land deal controversy, Deputy Chief Minister(DCM) Ajit Pawar, in a fit of anger and frustration, told Chief Minister(CM) Devendra Fadnavis during a meeting at Varsha Bungalow that he was willing to quit the government and extend support from outside.
Speaking to Media, Thackeray faction leader Ambadas Danve has made serious allegations against the BJP, claiming that DCM Ajit Pawar’s son, Parth Pawar, is being shielded in the controversial Pune land purchase case.
Danve revealed about a meeting held at Varsha Bungalow, the Chief Minister’s official residence. “From what I’ve been told, Ajit Pawar, in anger and frustration, told the CM that he was ready to resign and support the government from outside. The truth will come out soon,” he said.
According to Danve, the land transaction in question was carried out through Amadea Enterprises LLP, a company linked to Parth Pawar. Although Ajit Pawar has clarified that the deal has been cancelled, questions are being raised over why no FIR has been filed against his son yet.
“Even though Parth Pawar was a director in the company, there has been no action against him. When stamp duty is evaded, action is taken against others. But in this case, the excuse being given is that since the transaction didn’t go through, there was no need to pay the stamp duty,” Danve said. He pointed out that as per the law, a deal isn’t considered cancelled until the stamp duty is paid.
He further said that the BJP’s role in the entire episode appears suspicious. “It’s the BJP that creates trouble and it’s the BJP that resolves it. The party is clearly protecting Parth Pawar. Is Parth a small child? He has contested Lok Sabha elections, a man like him cannot be treated as someone’s innocent son. If he’s involved, he must be treated like any other citizen or accused person,” he added.
The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader also questioned the administrative handling of the case, suggesting that lower officials were being made scapegoats. “No tehsildar would dare take such steps without orders from above. Sacrificing a tehsildar to save Parth Pawar and senior officers is wrong,” Danve alleged. He concluded by asserting that the BJP was well aware of the developments in advance and deliberately chose to protect the NCP leader’s son.
