Disha Salian Death Case: Post-mortem Confirms Head Injury, No Sexual Assault; Father Seeks Fresh Probe

Five years after Disha Salian’s death, her post-mortem report has resurfaced, confirming a fatal head injury as the cause of death and ruling out sexual assault. The case has regained momentum after her father, Satish Salian, approached the Bombay High Court demanding a fresh probe.
Disha, former manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, died on June 8, 2020. The post-mortem report revealed a linear fracture of the skull bones with infiltration staining extending to the base of the anterior and middle cranial fossa. Although the meninges were intact, the brain matter was congested, showing both subdural and subarachnoid bleeding.
Significant internal injuries included multiple contusions to the intercostal muscles and ribs, with approximately 1000 to 1200 cc of blood and clots accumulated in the chest cavity. The report also recorded fallen frontal teeth.
Externally, Disha had, 1x1x1 cm lacerated wound (CLW) on the chin. Grazed abrasions over the upper chest and abdomen. An abraded contusion on the left elbow. Multiple abrasions on the right arm, thigh, lower leg, and knee. A lacerated wound on the right heel.
Doctors concluded that the cause of death was the fatal head injury leading to extensive bleeding.
Despite this, Satish Salian has alleged that his daughter was gang-raped and murdered. He also accused Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray of involvement.
Reacting to the allegations, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant said, “Justice may be delayed, but the truth prevails. We know Aaditya’s character. Instead, Satish Salian should undergo a narco test to explain why he made these allegations after five years.”
An FIR has been registered against Aaditya Thackeray, Rhea Chakraborty, Dino Morea, Sooraj Pancholi, and others. Satish Salian has also sought a CBI probe, alleging a cover-up
